Every case is different, so you have to kind of determine what happened and what your options are, usually an appeal can't be done, until there is a final decision in family law. Since you're dealing with children, and until they're either 18 or 21 if they're going to college. There can be no idle determination. So you have all these lower court rulings that can only be "appealed" by what's called a writ.

And what is a Writ? 

It's a form of written command in the name of a reviewing court or other legal authority to act or abstain from acting in some way. It's a way to enforce compliance or submission of a lower court's order.

So there's a big difference. An appeal. An appeal is more serious. It's an urgent request, and it's a, it's about reviewing a final decision. Learn more by listening to the podcast.
